The Old
Barn Resort A natural beauty - If you like the outdoors, you'll love the Old Barn Resort. The surrounding peaks and valleys offer sights and activities the entire family can enjoy. The scenic bluffs are home to an abundance of wild turkey and other birds of a feather including eagles. The majestic show of autumn colors along these bluffs is not to be missed. The valleys of the
Root River attract
anglers for excellent trout and bass fishing. Rent a canoe or
inner tube right on site from the outfitter and float down the river to
fish or just enjoy the wilderness. Our property has over a mile of
designated trout river that is home to stocked and native trout.
We have sand volleyball, basketball, horse shoes and of course our heated three-season indoor swimming pool that are all included in your stay here at the resort. We also have a great game room with pinball, pool table and various video games located in the Barn. We even added a small library that you can take, borrow or leave book. Don't forget, one of the most popular activities on-site is the paved 60+ mile bike trails that are adjacent to the campground without even having to shuttle or go on roads. Keep in mind, you can also walk and roller blade on these trails. Are you meeting family or friends in the area and they want to join you at the Barn? For daily guests, allowed on-site from 9am-10pm, we charge $4.00 per person per day. This allows them to be in the campground or hostel with you and can also then enjoy the use of these on-site activities with you. The pool is usually open from May 1
through mid October.
Rivers' Bend, our on-site 18-hole, par 70 golf course and driving
range is also available at additional costs.
