Is the campground open year-round?
No, the campground is not open all year. Weather permitting, we tend to open the beginning of April. The Old Barn Resort campground usually closes mid-late October, again weather permitting. We do our best to keep the water on as long as we can.
When is check-in and check-out?
Campground: Check-In is after 1 PM. Check-Out is by Noon.
Hostel: Check-In is after 1 PM. Check-Out is by 10 AM.
Is early check-in or late check-out available?
Please call or check at the Office for your site’s availability. The Old Barn Resort will do its best to accommodate site requests, but there are no guarantees.
How old do you have to be to rent a campsite or a hostel bedroom?
You must be 21 years old to rent a campsite or a hostel bed/room.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 2 weeks prior to reservation require an $8 processing fee. Cancellations made after 2 weeks prior to reservation result in forfeiting the first night's deposit.
Regarding Holiday Reservations: Cancellations made prior to 1 month before reservation require an $8 processing fee. Cancellations made within 1 month of reservation result in forfeiting the first night's deposit.
What is the camper/RV/tent policy?
Limit one household per site. Limit one RV/Camper like unit per site. One additional tent is permitted on sites for members currently living at household that made initial reservation. Otherwise additional site must be reserved.
Limit one household per tent sites. There is a two tent maximum on tent sites. More than two tents require more than one site.
Eight person maximum per site.
Are there additional fees for extra adults and children?
Pricing is based off of two people per site, per night. $5 fee per additional adult, per night. $3 fee per additional child, per night.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed inside the Restaurant and/or Hostel. Pets are allowed in the Campground, but pets must always be supervised and kept on a leash, not to exceed 6 feet. They cannot pose a disturbance or danger to other campers. Owners are expected to clean up after their pets.
Are there tables and grills?
There are picnic tables and fire rings at each site throughout the Campground. Please do not move any of the tables or fire rings. Only charcoal or wood should be burned in the fire grill.
Are there public restrooms and showers?
There are numerous restrooms on the property, all of which include showers. Showers do cost $.25 per 7 minutes of shower use.
What is there to do on the campground and around the area?
What is there to know about the Hostel?
Choose between the Family Room, two bunkhouse-style rooms and the Milkhouse. There are shared convenient restroom facilities.
Are linens provided in Hostel?
Sheets, blankets and pillows are provided at each bed.
Are alcoholic beverages allowed?
Alcoholic beverages are restricted to the campsite for those 21 or older. Beverages must be purchased at Bar for the golf course.
Are fireworks allowed?
Fireworks (including sparklers), firecrackers, explosives of any kind are not permitted.
What are quiet hours?
Quiet hours are from 11 PM - 8 AM. Generators, diesel engines or bright exterior lighting may not operate during the quiet hours. No loud music, excessive noise, or disorderly conduct will be tolerated.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas, but prohibited in buildings, hostel, restrooms, and the pool area.
Are there group rates?
Only for youth groups and scout troops. Please contact reservations prior to your visit. 507-467-2512.
Are discounts accepted?
Active and retired military personnel receive a 10% discount. Military ID is required
Theft & Loss
Campers are responsible for securing their personal property, including, but not limited to, their campers and contents, vehicles, tents, or any other personal property. The campground, its owners, agents, and employees are not responsible or liable for theft or loss of any kind, nor damage caused by acts of God, fires, floods, windstorms, explosions, lightening strikes, accidents, or vandalism. Campers are responsible for maintaining insurance on their campers, vehicles, and personal property.
For the safety of children at play, the speed limit throughout the campground is 5 mph. ATVs and motor bikes are prohibited. Rivers Bend golf carts are not allowed in campground. Personal golf carts are permitted.
